Hey everyone,
After last week’s reveal, here’s a little more info on our forthcoming minis title, Hungry Giraffe, Laughing Jackal’s first foray into the endless climbing genre.
Out on the savannah, one poor giraffe is fed up with eating leaves and wants to indulge in a few naughties for once... he’s one hungry giraffe:
- Watch in amazement as he stretches his neck skyward!
- Gasp in awe as his neck hurtles ever upward, via the power of calories!
- Scream with indignation as he wantonly ignores the governments ‘five-a-day’ guidelines and devours all manner of high-energy junk food!
- Snacks beware! No burger, portion of fries, ice cream or pizza is beyond his reach!
It’s not all gravy though. Your hungry giraffe will have to avoid the heavyweight hazards inexplicably floating through the sky. As well as low, medium and high calorie grub, your giraffe can also swallow dumbbells and anvils – and every good giraffe knows that eating heavy stuff is the last thing you need to power a twisty-turny upward journey.
More details next week when we’ll be revealing more about the various food items our freakishly-necked masticating mammal will be able to chow down on, as well as providing details of the various power ups and power downs he’ll encounter. Plus, we’ll include some great artwork showing you guys some of the hilarious animations and other funny stuff we’ve thrown into the game.
Hopefully that’s left you as hungry as a giraffe for more news. We'll be back with more news on Hungry Giraffe in the run up to Christmas. Which reminds me I should get some Christmas shopping done. What do you buy a giraffe for Christmas anyway?
Bon appetit! :)

We’re very proud of our work on Warlock of Firetop Mountain and the tweaks we’ve made in response to your feedback since Fighting Fantasy: Talisman of Death, all of which can be seen here. So what are you waiting for? Batter down your front door, pluck your PSP or PS3 from its chest and download our latest adaptation of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone’s stunning Fighting Fantasy series.
Update: Cubixx HD high score insanity:
In other news, over the last few weeks we have been seeing how some very inventive people have been getting high scores on Cubixx HD (still available for PS3 on both EU and U.S. PSN Stores kids!) Until recently we’ve been impressed by Adorno constantly topping the Arcadeleaderboard with very respectable scores.
On the 28th of October 2011 everything changed; everything we thought we knew about Cubixx HD turned upside down. We were astonished to see a score that had broken the 100 million barrier - 128 million in fact! highfvi was the new leader.
I’ve been speaking to highfvi about his achievements, trying to understand the methods used. Turns out, highfvi’s mammoth score was down to good old fashioned m4d ski11z. So, highfvi became member #1 of the elite Cubixx-HD-100-million-Club!
News flash! This morning I logged in to check the leaderboards once again and the top score as of 6:00am 10th November 2011 is 241,123,491 Unbelievable!! highfvi has done it again, more than doubling his previous already stupendous effort! Huge congratulations from everyone here on your herculean five-day marathon highfvi!
So, is there anyone out there who is willing to take the number one spot?
Feeding Time at the Zoo...
Lastly, we’ve all been hard at work on Hungry Giraffe and we will be sharing more information on this game next week.
