Laughing Jackals Day Out

Hi everyone.

We’ve been hard at work here at Laughing Jackal on a top secret new PlayStation Mini this week which is coming along nicely and should soon be ready to send to Sony.  Of course that’s not all we’ve been up to since the last blog.  Last Friday the whole team went off to the Eurogamer Expo,

where as well as handing out a lot of rather lovely Cubixx HD flyers,

we also got to check out some of the competition, so to speak.  And queue.  Lots. While we’re all into different types of games, being an RPG geek my particular favourite was Skyrim but the Vita also looks very cool.

On Monday we also held our massive 100 code Cubixx HD drop over on our Twitter.  A big thank you should go out to our Senior Producer, Al or, to use his Twitter name, ev4nac who finished his marathon code drop in a delirious state fuelled solely by bad TV :).  While there were a few issues largely stemming from our lack of experience with a code drop of these quite ridiculous proportions it went really quite well with all 100 codes being taken.

We’d also like to thank the guys over at the awesome Fighting Fantazine

for giving their inside cover to Fighting Fantasy: Talisman of Death.  You can see the final page below.

The sharp eyed among you will also get a quick glimpse of what they’re covering in this issue.

Before I go I’d like to congratulate Adorno who is currently top of the Cubixx HD Arcade mode leaderboard with a quite frankly obscene score of 51740375.  I, on the other hand, am currently languishing in 22nd with a comparatively meagre 11179558 :(.  Another night of score chasing may await me.

That’s all for this week but we’ll be back next week with more exciting news from Laughing Jackal.

Laughing Jackals Stunning September Sale featuring Cubixx HD

Hi everyone.  While most of our attention has been on North America we haven’t been neglecting our European fans.  In the midst of all the excitement we’ve been cooking up a lovely little sale for you.

Starting from today for the next two weeks until the 5th October the amazing Cubixx HD and earlier PlayStation Minis will be on sale.

The price of Cubixx HD has been cut away from £6.29 (€7.99) to a mouth wateringly irresistible £4.99 (€6.19)! This comes alongside the game’s launch week sale in America, where PS+ subscribers can pick the game up for just $6.99 until September 27th.

But that’s not all! Cubixx, Ace Armstrong vs. The Alien Scumbags, Stellar Attack, Vibes and Duael Invaders are down to just £0.99 (€1.19) for the same two weeks. So, that’s an incredible:

  • £3.00 (€3.80) off Vibes and Ace Armstong vs. The Alien Scumbags!
  • £2.50 (€3.00) off Stellar Attack!
  • £1.50 (£1.80) off the original Cubixx and Duael Invaders!

So, why not head over to the PlayStation Store and take advantage of this amazing offer?

For those of you already struggling with Cubixx HD, help is at hand from EdEN, who can sometimes be found in the comments of this blog. He’s come up with a rather excellent trophy guide.  So if you need a bit of hand go check out http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/cubixx-hd/123715-cubixx-hd-trophy-guide-roadmap.html

If any of you are going to the Eurogamer Expo on Friday the Laughing Jackal team is going to be there wandering the halls giving out Cubixx HD leaflets so if you see us say hi.

Finally, you may also have noticed the other little change we have made to the blog.  If you look underneath each blogpost you’ll see some little buttons.  Please feel free to click them.  Go on, you know you want to :).
