Award Night

We had our virtual tuxedos on at Laughing Jackal last Thursday, as the winners of the PSPMinis.com Community Choice Awards were announced. Laughing Jackal had an excellent night, scooping up 5 awards, with Vibes picking up the award for Best Music Game, Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone’s Fighting Fantasy: The Talisman of Death winning the Best Story award and a fantastic hat-trick for OMG-Z as our zombies shambled away with the awards for Best Strategy, Best Other and Guilty Pleasure. It was nearly an even better night for us, as OMG-Z finished a close second in the Greatest Hit category and Laughing Jackal managed to take the runner-up spot in the Best Developer/Publisher award. Maybe next year! ;)

We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone over at PSPMinis.com, particularly Ofaliss, who organised this event.  We’d also like to thank everyone who took part in the event from community members to the other developers who made the process so much fun.  To be recognised like this by the Minis gaming community is amazing and incredibly rewarding.  It wasn’t quite as glamorous as the Oscars though, so, Ofaliss, you know what to aim for next time! And, if I don’t find myself getting a free flight to LA, there will be trouble. :)
